Free Forex Currency Trading Software..

Before we even begin to look at Trading in more depth you need to have some Software to use in order to see what we're doing and get started.

The great thing about Forex Trading - unlike any other market - is that you can get started FOR FREE.

So let's do that....

You already have a PC and and Internet connection (otherwise you wouldn't be here) so we can put that aside.
You now need a "charting package". This is where you will get your charts that allow you to trade. Charting packages range from the very basic ones that are built into a websites page and where you have no control. Then there are some that give you a little control and allow you to change time scales, add some simple indocators, etc. A further step are ones which allow you to "save" you settings so you can return later and not have to go through the setting up again.

These are simply not good enough.

At the other end of the scale are packages priced in thousands of dollars that require data feeds costing many hundreds of dollars a month.

These are above and beyond what we need.

What we need is a good alround charting package that costs nothing and where we can get real-time data for free.

The only place for that is the Forex Market via a Forex Broker.

There are many places that you can get charts and data, however for this purpose, if you don't already have charts, then follow these instructions and watch the video further down

1) Go to http://www.metaquotes.net/ and click on the "Download Metatrader4" Button. Run the set-up program to Install on your PC..

2) Now OPEN Metatrader4 on your PC
The first time you do this you'll be asked to give your personal details and also "subscribe" to Metatrader4 Newsletters. You MUST click that box (don't worry they don't actually send anything!)
You must also choose an account balance for your simulated account - I'd suggest $5000 and also a leverage - I'd suggest 100:1
